Though the powerful social Facebook following has many benefits for the non-profits, they are going to turn more valuable now. Thanks to the new Facebook’s “Donate Now” button which will make easy for the non-profits to convert online visits to monetary contributions.
Facebook has always been superlative in introducing various new features that have further helped different spheres of people as well as organizations. The new “Donate Now” button will help the non-profits to get connected with the respective followers and supporters that would feel more personal than a website. Facebook said in an update, “Now it’s easier than ever for nonprofits to connect with the people who care about their causes and encourage them to contribute through the website of their choice.”
Once the user clicks on the “Donate Now” button, a prompt is visible that the social site isn’t connected to the organization which is collecting funds. The user will be routed to the original website page of the brand in order to complete the transaction. There are two options available for the nonprofits:
Company Page: “Download Now” works similar to the other buttons on Facebook and the brand name of the company can be easily added anytime for free. Once it is incorporated on the organization’s page, the button is visible near the “Like” button at the bottom corner.
Link Advertisement: To enhance the visibility, the company has an option of including the “Donate Now” button in the link ads and then promote it like they do for any other content.
